In early 1978, after two decades in the metal industry, Phil Aronson took a leap of faith, trading stability for a vision of his own. With his life savings invested, he founded a metal fabrication company in a two-car garage, committed to quality and craftsmanship. Today, that humble venture has grown into a thriving family business with 90 dedicated team members and an 80,000-square-foot facility to support our expanding operations. From a garage dream to a leading US manufacturing company, we’re proud of how far we’ve come.
P&A is located in Clackamas Oregon, a suburb of Portland Oregon. Providing sheet metal fabrication, tube bending, welding, powder coat and final assembly.
P&A offers laser cutting for flat sheets and tubes with equipment like our 4KW Prima Power LPe6f Fiber Laser and 2.5KW BLM LT-712 CO2 tube lasers. Networked controllers ensure fast, precise CNC coding directly to the machines. Advanced programming also nests parts efficiently for optimal material use.
Our fabrication division features many different processes including turret punching, rolling, deburring, hardware insertion and forming. Our machine tools are CNC controlled for reliability and accuracy and include (4) Amada HDS press brakes for quick set-up and accurate repeatability. Hardware insertion is a snap with auto-feed tooling for those larger jobs.
Our tube division offers CNC laser cutting, rolling, and bending for nearly any tube shape. With our BLM Tube Laser, we can cut holes and features before bending, reducing post-bend processing. The Optima Laser Vision inspection system scans bent tubes, minimizing setup time and ensuring high accuracy while saving costs.
Our weld shop provides expert MIG and TIG welding with finishing services to meet exacting standards. For medium to large production, we utilize Motoman and FANUC robotic welders, along with Bluco precision tables and twin one-ton cranes for larger products. We specialize in carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, delivering high-quality results with skilled craftsmanship.
Our automated overhead conveyor system efficiently applies powder coating through wash, dry, powder application, and cure stages, with a 3-stage iron phosphate pretreatment for optimal adhesion. We handle parts up to 30” x 72” x 108”. Catalog colors, custom colors and custom packaging are available upon request.
